California Ranks 45th in the Nation

“California is again being recognized for its unruly legal climate, ranking an abysmal 45th out of the 50 states in terms of its legal climate.

“Lawsuit abuse is a drain on the state’s economy. In fact, 57% of respondents to Harris’s poll said that legal climate is somewhat or very likely to effect where to a company locates or conducts business. By bearing down on California’s businesses, lawsuit abuse threatens jobs, economic development and a stable tax base. This report again demonstrates the clear need for reform in our state.”
